What will you be doing for New Year’s Eve? If you are still looking for the perfect party, we have a list you are going to love. We are lucky to be living in what many in the United States consider to be one of the most romantic cities in the country, thanks to its aesthetic appeal and old-world charm. We’re also lucky to be living in a city that knows how to ring in the New Year with a great celebration!

Whether you are looking for a couple’s night out or something you can enjoy with the whole family, you will find it in Charleston. Here are just a few of the things the city has planned for the big night.

1. Marion Square

Head to downtown Charleston for this non-alcoholic, family-friendly event. The party starts at 4 p.m. and ends at 10:00 p.m., giving you plenty of time to get home safely and ring in the New Year with the ones you love. New Year’s Eve in the square will feature art shows, live entertainment, refreshments and more.

2. Memminger Auditorium

Charleston Wonderland is the place to be this New Year’s Eve. Doors open at 8:30 p.m. and close at 1:30 a.m. This formal event is for adults only and will feature live entertainment, a top-shelf bar, variety acts, music, photo booths, cigar lounges, amazing food and a balloon drop at midnight.

3. Yorktown Countdown

Imagine ringing in the New Year aboard a flight deck or in an airplane hanger. This one-of-a-kind experience will be sure to have you looking forward to next year’s party. DJs will be spinning their music, great drinks and the best food make it a must-do for anyone who is still putting together their New Year’s Eve plans. Just remember to hire a babysitter if you have little ones. This party is for adults only.

4. Wentworth Mansion

The Wentworth Mansion is hosting an all-inclusive New Year’s Eve event this year that is sure to be the talk of the town. Dinner will be held at Circa 1886, adjacent to the Mansion. A six-course meal and a large glass of champagne are well worth the cost of the event. The all-inclusive package is for the entire weekend and includes dinner on New Year’s Eve.

5. Host At Your Home

No, this isn’t a fancy name for a black-tie event. It’s an idea. If you are still trying to sort out what you will be doing to ring in the New Year, why not host a party at your home? You have a couple of weeks to put together a bash that your friends and family will never forget.

New Year’s Eve should be a good time for everyone, and it should not end in tragedy. If you will be drinking this holiday, don’t drive home. Instead, make arrangements for getting home safely before you ever walk out of your front door.
