Four Pedestrians Struck in Manhattan by One Car
Four pedestrians have been left injured after a vehicle making its way through midtown Manhattan traffic suddenly swerved and struck them.
The accident occurred just before 3:00 p.m. near Fifth Avenue and East 59th Street near the Plaza Hotel and Central Park. According to the Fire Department of New York, three of the four people that were struck were seriously injured in the accident. One of those seriously injured was the driver. The injured were taken to area hospitals.
Police say that the accident is still currently under investigation.

Distracted Drivers Endanger South Carolina School Children
A South Carolina school bus carrying 27 children and two adults was nearly involved in a dangerous collision recently. The bus was forced to swerve off the road when it was passed by two cars in the oncoming traffic lane, forcing an oncoming vehicle to swerve. Fortunately, no injuries occurred as a result of the accident. Live 5 News reports that no tickets were issued because the cars that caused the bus to swerve did not stop their vehicles.
Fifteen Year Old Girl Hospitalized After Accident
Cherokee County, A 15-year-old girl remains hospitalized after a car ignored a stopped school bus and struck her while moving at speed. The victim, a freshman at Gaffney High School, remains hospitalized over a week after the incident. Photos taken immediately after the accident show the force of the impact as the girls empty shoes remained in place after she was hit and her backpack was thrown up and on to the top of the bus. South Carolina Victim Adds to Troubling Increase in Pedestrian Deaths
Charleston County authorities are investigating a pedestrian accident that took the life of a 34-year-old South Carolina woman on April 12. A Chevrolet Blazer reportedly hit the woman as she was walking along Highway 162. The driver was trying to pass another vehicle at the time according to Live 5 News; however, the specific cause of the deadly collision is still under investigation.
