Any worker that has permanent disability to an injured body part will likely be entitled to an a money award to compensate them for their permanent disability and loss of use of that body part or parts. Workers that are not able to return to their prior work due to their injuries after their accident are likely to be entitled to continuing compensation and benefits for permanent wage loss. In the event that the work accident causes the death of the worker, his eligible survivors will likely be entitled to disability and death benefits.

Importantly, benefits under the Defense Base Act are payable regardless of nationality (this includes host and third country nationals).
