Breast cancer is the most common form of cancer in women. Though not as prevalent, it also affects thousands of men each year. At Howell & Christmas, we know how difficult the fight against breast cancer can be, both physically and financially. That’s why we are happy to announce our $1,000 Howell & Christmas Breast Cancer Survivor and Patient Scholarship for students who are currently struggling with or have beaten the disease.
Like so many in the Charleston community, we have seen the disastrous effects of breast cancer firsthand. We know this diagnosis can effectively devastate the life of a victim, as well as the lives of their loved ones. This can be especially true when cancer affects young people. However, we have also seen students rise up and forbid breast cancer from dictating their joy and their success. We want to help these hardworking students continue their education through college by easing their financial burden.
At Howell & Christmas, we have a long history of fighting to win for our clients, and we know how important every victory is. We count graduating college and achieving further success during or after a battle with cancer as a major victory. We want to help more students accomplish these goals in whatever way we can.
